Accelerate your weight loss and health goals with the Doctor’s 6 week weight loss program through The Age Less Clinic and General Practice. This 6 week program combines real GPs and the latest levels of biometric science and technology. Our preventative local Doctors will be your ultimate companion to helping you achieve your weight loss and optimise your journey to better health to be the healthiest you can be.
At your consultation, you’ll receive a health report of your body composition (including body & visceral fat, muscle mass, metabolic age, and Basal Metabolic Rate – BMR (the number of calories your body burns at rest) which guides our Doctors to recommend a plan to help you lose fat, maintain your muscle and improve your overall health.

Follow-Up Consultations are recommended fortnightly as a minimum however some people may appreciate a weekly measurement and tracking of their body composition improvements.

1. A personalised report of your overall health. At your consultation, you will receive an initial health assessment and risk factors for chronic disease. Your Doctor will provide you with a detailed body composition report to help you understand your body’s individual biometrics (weight, body fat %, body water %, muscle mass (kg), basal metabolic rate (BMR) (calories per day at rest), biological age, visceral fat rating, bone mass, body mass index) using advanced segmental body composition analysis technology.
2. Doctor’s ‘prescription’. There’s no one-size fits all, because everyone’s metabolic rate (the number of calories your body burns at rest per day) and overall health is different. Our prescribing Doctors consult with you first to understand your biometrics and overall health and calculate a recommended daily calorie intake for you to begin your prescribed meals to accelerate your success. This recommendation will take into account your weight, health conditions and health goals.
3. Calorie Controlled Meals. Nutritionist designed, fresh and nutritionally balanced, your 5 days of meals per week are calorie and portion controlled and will be delivered to you based on your Doctor’s recommendation. You can order your 5 days of breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks online with our meal partner, Lite n Easy.
4. Doctor’s Weight & Health Tracker App. The Doctor’s Health & Weight Tracker App is designed to track your vital stats, enable you to see your progress and improvements and importantly, keep you accountable.
5. At-home Resistance Workout Plan. The 6 week Resistance Workout Plan is tailored to your fitness level (beginner, intermediate or advanced) and designed to help maintain your lean muscle mass to boost metabolism and improve muscular fitness. At home, or outdoors.
6. Recipes & Shopping Lists. From the first week, you can put into practice what you have been seeing, eating and living with delicious and easy to follow recipes using kitchen staple ingredients and minimum prep time. Plus, plenty of leftovers to share with the family.
7. Fortnightly Doctor Check ins. Your Doctor will be with you every step of the way to help you reach your goals. Your fortnightly follow-up consultations with the prescribing Doctor is the key to understanding the changes to your body's composition and weight loss success - aiming to reduce your body and visceral fat, improve your metabolism and muscle mass. Research shows that regular follow ups is one of the most important factors to your success in losing weight and keeping it off.
8. Medical Award of Health. At the completion of the 6 weeks, you will receive your final biometrics at your Doctor’s consultation and a medical of award of health attainment, as a record of your participation.

Why does the 6 week weight loss program use body composition scales?
Measuring overall weight loss alone has limitations as losing weight can mean losing fat mass and or muscle mass or both. While weight is an important health indicator, we don't want our patients to be lighter, we want them to be healthier for the rest of their life. Our Doctors measure and monitor your body fat loss and visceral fat loss vs overall weight loss regularly, which allows our Doctors to tailor your plan to help maintain muscle mass, whilst losing fat mass.
Is this a long term solution?
Our Doctors will give you the tools which include calorie controlled meals, daily at home resistance training exercises you need to help transform your habits, and make longer lasting lifestyle changes. The calorie controlled meals are intended to be used as a short-term tool with professional guidance of the Doctor so you start to live, eat and experience portion controlled and nutritionally complete food everyday. From the very first week you will put into practice what you have been experiencing on the 2 days without the meals to drive healthier eating patterns to help keep the weight off once you've reached your goal and also to help prevent weight cycling.
Doc Tip: On the 2 days off our Doctors recommend that you use a calorie tracker to help ensure you don't go over the calorie intake per day that has been recommended to you (e.g. myfitnesspal).
